# Account benefits

> Central audited grants for features, early access and bonus AI credits.

Infrastructure owns the Account benefits dashboard. Operators require root
workspace membership plus both `manage_workspace_roles` and
`manage_workspace_secrets`. Grants record their issuer, target account, reason,
time and stable request UUID. A retry with the same UUID and payload returns the
same grant; changed payloads conflict.

Feature keys use `feature.*`; early access uses `early_access.*`. Both are
boolean flags with optional expiration and explicit revocation. Services consume
specific keys on the server. Creating an arbitrary key does not enable unrelated
product features. `feature.learn.playgrounds` is the first hosted-programming
consumer.

`ai_credits` allocates a one-time bonus to the account's personal-workspace credit
balance and records a credit transaction in the same database transaction. Credit
grants have no feature expiry and cannot be revoked as an access flag after
delivery. Repeated grant requests never allocate twice. Existing credit accounting
and billing-period rules continue to govern the resulting balance.

The default is no benefits. Normal playground access also accepts a paid personal
subscription. Meet's verified internal-admin room exception is evaluated in that
room and never added to this ledger. Team-workspace benefits, global staff roles
and permanent workspace access are outside this grant model.

Test active, expired and revoked flags, duplicate grant IDs, changed replay
payloads, failed credit transactions and unauthorized operators before changing
benefit consumers. Never use profile metadata or client-provided email domains
as entitlement evidence.
