Answered elsewhere and withdrawn (T4, 2026-10-29). Scope: Needs you rows on
the Inbox, the Resolved segment and item detail. Schema 1.5 adds an optional
answered_via (phone, mac, chat, auto, batch) on item rows; the parser reads
it tolerantly (an unknown or malformed value is left out, never a rejected
snapshot), and a decisions_resolved row whose state or status is
withdrawn stays withdrawn with no answer. Default: when a live snapshot shows
an ask answered that was open on the previous snapshot and that this device did
not answer (no accepted reply in its outbox), the open card’s choices fold away
and it reads “Answered on Mac · Yes” (or on phone, in chat, automatically, in batch,
elsewhere when the hub does not say) for 3 seconds, then leaves Needs you; it is
listed under Resolved. If this device held a one-tap reply to that ask inside
its undo window, the reply is cancelled silently, its held outbox entry is
deleted before it is ever sent, and screen readers hear “Already answered on
Mac”. A reply already sent that gets 409 shows the same answered state.
Withdrawn asks never linger in Needs you; they appear only under Resolved.
Exceptions: cached snapshots never trigger the transition, an ask answered by
this device keeps the “Sent · waiting for Mastermind” flow, and logout or an
account switch clears any lingering card. Coverage:
replies/answered_elsewhere_test.dart, parse/answered_via_test.dart,
view/mastermind_answered_elsewhere_test.dart (transition with and without an
undoable reply, 409 after send, withdrawn, GMT+7 day groups, Vietnamese, 2.0x
text at 320 px).
Resolved rows group by GMT+7 day and show the recorded answer, attribution and time.
Batch answers show “Answered in batch” and use “in batch” attribution without claiming an individual actor. Unknown values retain the localized elsewhere fallback.
With large text, Undo sits under the label instead of beside it.
A 409 whose refreshed question remains open preserves the draft and stale-question recovery.
